Natural Grasslands and Pastoralism : common challenges and interdependent dynamics !

For its third edition, World natural grasslands Day confirms its ambition: to raise awareness of natural grasslands in order to protect them!

Through numerous events in France and around the world, discover the importance of natural grasslands in the balance of our region’s ecosystems! Botanical walks, farm visits, meetings with farmers, conferences, film screenings followed by discussions, educational workshops, and festive moments will punctuate this 3rd edition of World Grasslands Day!

This new edition is fully aligned with the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralism , led by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Inextricably linked to pastoralism, these living environments shape landscapes, harbor remarkable biodiversity, and support sustainable livestock farming practices  !

World natural Grasslands Day is organised by the Inter-Parks of the Massif Central association (IPAMAC) and its partners, within the framework of the Open Grasslands Network (MOH).
